Dear Cousins…

31^st Dec 2009 gathering at Popo’s place.

We shall have our “cooking” competition.

Popo is very happy & excited about it.

She will prepare drinks (excluding wine/beer) for us.

Please advise what you will be cooking in this blog, so that we will not have duplicate dishes.

Also, please confirm attendance for yourself & partner (if joining us). Partner also have to prepare one dish :p

Ryan went back to Gary’s place for a week.

Gary’s kids are having their school holidays & they missed Ryan so much…

I can understand, it is just the 1^st day for me. I already feel like missing him for 1000 days.

No little one to kiss me good morning, shake his furry tail at me, welcome us when we reached home…

I got no chance to feed him, clean up his peepee..

 Haha!

I miss Ryan!

Last weekend – my third visit to Malacca.

This trip is to accompany Sky & some shopping spree for myself.

However, didn’t really get many things due to time constraint.

We had many agenda for this trip, therefore shopping was the last item on the “to do list”.

Hmm it’s fine for me as long as I didn’t waste my trip sleeping.

Only poor Sky, he can’t take afternoon nap because he needs to accompany me to shopping.

We set off from Singapore at 5.30am from Sky’s house. Two cars (sky’s & his brother-in-law) for this travel.

5.30am – left house

6.00am – reached Singapore custom

7.10am – reached Malaysia custom

8.45am – breakfast

10.00am – reached Malacca

10.20am – reached the destination for the “lao hua yan” treatment

After waiting for an hour plus, we travel to the next destination – “laughing Buddha temple”

Finally at 2.00pm ++, we had our lunch at a penarakan restaurant after many rounds of “restaurant sight-seeing”.

Anyway, the food was good and nice. A good recommendation from Sky’s dad.

3.15pm – check in at Makota Hotel

4.00pm – start my shopping

6.30pm – gather back at hotel for dinner

After dinner, we went to the famous night market – Jonker Walk

Only manage to walk around an hour and we had to go to our last event of the day – KTV session.

The first time to hear Sky’s sister, father, mother, auntie, and uncle sing – their oldies…haha

Frankly, it is a very nice feeling to see how the elders enjoy themselves.

However, my date – Zhou Gong is calling me at 12.30am…

Those who know me should know that I can’t tahan late nights ya, imagine I wake up at 4.30am.

Second day

8.45am – breakfast at hotel café

10.00am – start our final shopping

11.30am – back to hotel & prepare for check out

12.45pm – reach Jonker Walk again – to buy some goodies etc

Sky’s family bought me lots of goodie & food for my mother & grandmother as well (really appreciate so much)

2.30pm – lunch at a road side coffee shop, we waited for like 20mins for the Wonton noodle (OMG, yucky it was my worst food experience in Malaysia)

5.30pm – returned back to JB, we do a bit of grocery shopping and after a fulfilling dinner, back to Singapore….

Luckily there wasn’t much jam and we were back in Singapore by 9.45pm…

This is my 1st time to a party that was so special. You can feel the effort and time spent on this party. There is a “flora” theme for the party, thats why we are all in “flowers”. My dear cousin – Jane had the party specially decorated with nice table setting, balloons, banners etc…She even made door gifts / thank you gifts for her guests. Hee I guess susan ah yi, ah lan ah yi & husband and jiesi must had helped out a lot as well. I really enjoyed myself and especially with all my dearest cousins…

Funny people at the building that I am working at

Chauffeur

He is working as the driver of my building management CEO. However, practically I see him sitting in the lobby for almost every time I walked past. (Heard that he is paid quite well).

Neighbor A

She likes to comment “你没有梳头发啊?”  I am not really close to her, just chat a bit when met. Then she can just comment this out of the blue. Hee though I know my hair is forever messy.

Neighbor B

Every time I see her, she is combing her hair forever. Her hair is very long, straight and tidy. I don’t know why she need such a long time to appreciate herself in the mirror.

Neighbor C

She never smiles at any people or neighbor. She likes to sing in the toilet.

Stranger lady

She likes to come to my level’s toilet to do big business. The building has 2 toilets at each level, 1 at left & 1 at right side. I belong to the right side of the building. Aiya I am a very KPO person, so I know all the people at my side of the level & I can be sure that she is not from the side of my level. After her business, she likes to comb her hair for real long and then touch up her make up.

Maintenance guy

We have a common “pantry area” outside the toilet for all the tenants from my side and staffs of the building to share. People wash their cups, water bottle, cloths there. This particular guy washes his bowl, fruits there. Sometime he will add a bit of washing his face & clearing his throat at this basin as well. Sounds disgusting right, there is one more ultimate ok. When I was walking out of the toilet last Friday, I hared someone scrubbing something at the basin. As per my KPOness, I went over to find out. There I found him scrubbing his stuff, so out of curiosity; I asked what he was scrubbing. Aiyo, he said: “I am washing my SOCKS.”

Goodness!! Help me!!!!!

What a fun Sunday!

With XX, mummy, Sky & our dear baby Ryan to his 1^st experience – swimming in Dog pool!

Before going to the Pet mega mart, we went to Pet Movers. There is this field where dogs are unleashed & get to run around freely.

Many people will bring their dogs and “make friend”.

Our dear Ryan is so happy, it has been awhile since he go around making furry friends. (not including the daily walks by mummy)

After half an hour of making friend session, we decided to change our venue to U Petgamart – the dog swimming pool (it seems like going to rain).

When we reached there, there are already many big dogs jumping in & out of the pool.

But our dear Ryan……is scare of water.

When we 1^st put him in, he struggled like hell. He tried to climb out of the water almost immediately after going in.

After he finally managed to come out, he chased after other dogs.

But the funny thing was, he accidently fall into the pool while chasing other dogs. (think he got a shock from this)

We did not stop trying to put him back into the pool.

After awhile, he seems to be calmer, though he still tries to find way out.

During his ample laps of swimming, there is one big dog (think is a golden) swimming in opposite direction of Ryan.

The big dog is swimming / walking vigorously in the pool & he almost swam / pressed over our poor Ryan.

All of us got a shock, we are afraid that Ryan will get drown.

Hee but lucky our Ryan is a strong & clever boy.

Overall it was a great experience. We will still bring Ryan there even though he doesn’t seem to like swimming.

It is a great exercise for him, from the way he eats, if he don’t exercise, he will be overweight soon.

I heard a very interesting discussion on air FM93.3 Thursday morning. It is host by Cruz Teng & Jia Hui. I really enjoy the morning session with both of their presence.

The discussion was about Brad Pitt meet up with his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston to pour out his unhappiness emotion with Angelina Jolie. The DJs are asking the listeners to share their experience of their ex-s contacting them.

There is one *#@# story: one lady shared that her ex-boyfriend asked her out for a dinner. During the dinner, the ex keeps complaining about his present girlfriend and emphasize on how happy he used to be when he was with the lady. This is not all, the ex still make himself drunk (maybe is actting drunk) and try to earn sympathy from the lady.

But the final straw is that he even asked the lady “CAN YOU COME TO MY HOUSE AND ACCOMPANY ME FOR THE NIGHT?”

Aiyo how thick-skin can anyone be!!

When I heard this ex-s discussion, one of my ex come across my mind. Don’t worry, he is not like the male actor of the above story.

It is just that we are not in contact for years and he just called me suddenly to share with me about the issues he had with his girlfriend. I tried my best to be the listening ears and gave him whatever advise or solutions when he asked. Then the next day, he called up again to ask me for solutions. And this went on for 2 more days (with the same issues). I tried not to answer my mobile when he called or reply his sms. Guess what, he called my place. I had to ask my sister to say that I went to bed. The next day, he called again. Finally, I couldn’t stand it anymore & tell him off. I asked him not to contact me anymore. I am so pissed off because he keep telling me the same thing and he is very INCONSIDERATE. He called at late nights or in the middle of the night. Hey, I need to work the next day & I am no longer his girlfriend (I am not obligated to chat with him regardless of time). I had deleted all his numbers & hopefully I will not get to meet him by chance. I will not know how to react. Maybe I will just pretend not to see him and walk straight off.

What is over is over; just leave the nice memories will be much better.

Don’t you think so?

I really don’t feel like working.

I have been asking myself this question: “Will my dream of retiring at 30 comes true?”

I am only left with 3 more years to 30, will I be able to catch up with it?

Sky asked me before: “What have you done to ensure that you are able to retire at 30?”

This is my reply to him: “Aiyah, find a golden tortoise lor. Haha if like now cannot find one, rely on you lor.”

Human beings are never satisfy, regardless to what they already have or owned.

Some people target for a branded bag, they worked real hard for it.

At last, they owned one.

Then again, they fall in love with a second one, the “cycle” start all over again.

Well this is life ya.

If I really wanted to retire at 30, I should really save up, spend lesser (much much lesser),

stop buying stuffs, stop going for luxury meal (and start loving food courts, hawker centre) etc…..

I don’t think I can even survive in this manner, “killing” me will be a better option.

Haha, I think there goes my dream….unless I strike Toto tonight.

One of my closest friend is getting married in 3 weeks time, I felt so happy for her.

Due to some superstitious stuff (my grandma passed away less than 3 months before her wedding will “clash”), I am unable to be her “sister” of her wedding.

Hmm I feel kinda sad initially, I am looking so forward since I knew her wedding date.

There are too many restrictions from her parents.

I mean I don’t blame them. Every parent wants the best for their children no matter what.

Can you imagine, I can’t be her sister for the day time.

I can only attend her dinner (better than nothing).

I cannot help or touch any of her stuff.

Worst, I cannot touch her wedding grown (with special reminder) which is equivalent to NO HUGS.

I wanted to hug & kiss her for her big day, but…..

I have been “sister” for 4 times, it was tiring.

Initial plan is to be 2 more sister for my Sec (above mentioned) & Poly classmate.

The rest is to reserve for my own sisters (40 & XX) & my beloved cousins (if they required).

If I keep do, I will never “retire”….

To me, if I want to be the sister for any “X” person, I need to feel like a “sister” to her or vice versa.

Whenever I carry out my duties as a “sister”, I will do it whole heartedly.

Be sure that my love ones can have their wedding smoothly.

If I am “forced” to do it, it will not be a good one (though I will still try my best to help).

Knowing you for 10 over years does not equal to close “sister”.

Whatever agreement made years ago is it still valid?

People just keep changing & both of you don’t feel like close “sister” anymore.
